The Surrey Care Association's exhibition 'Care Showcase 2014' was a great success, and Moving On were pleased to exhibit there for the first time this year.
The exhibition was organised in partnership with West Sussex County Council, Brighton and Hove City Council and East Sussex County Council and was aimed at those working within and providing services to the care industry within Surrey and Sussex.
The exhibition entitled 'Driving up the quality of social care' held on Tuesday 11 March at Brighton Racecourse offered free delegate entry to those within Surrey & Sussex. The high-profile national and regional speakers and varied seminar programme encouraged over 450 delegates to attend creating a buzzing atmosphere in the exhibitor's hall.
The Moving On stand, with 'front door', clutter section, competition and handouts encouraged lots of interest from visitors and delegates, and we were pleased to meet with a variety of businesses and providers within the Surrey and Sussex care sector and talk about the services we offer.
A wide variety of seminars was given by respresenatives from Care England, The National Skills Academy for Social Care, Department for Health and the Institute of Public Care - Oxford Brookes University, amongst others. Subjects included 'delivering the principles that underpin dignity', recruitment, leadership, quality in supported living and housing and finance.
Moving On were glad to be represented at Surrey Care Association's annual exhibition this year.
